1. About StudyLayer
StudyLayer is an AI-powered screen-capture and analysis tool for study support. It captures a screenshot selected by you, sends it to an AI model for analysis, and displays a suggested answer or explanation in a desktop overlay.
StudyLayer is designed to support learning, practice, homework review, and understanding. It does not access, modify, or control third-party learning platforms.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
3. Academic Integrity
You are responsible for using StudyLayer in a way that follows your school, course, and institution rules. Use it for learning, practice, and understanding. Do not use it where outside assistance is prohibited.
4. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on devices you own or control for personal study use.
You may not:
- Distribute, resell, or sublicense the software
- Reverse-engineer or decompile the software
- Use the software to build a competing product
- Attempt to circumvent quota limits, authentication, or billing
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a monthly or one-time basis. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on the applicable billing cycle.
- Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- One-time purchases are charged once and may have fixed scan limits.
- Refund requests can be sent to contact support.
6. AI Accuracy Disclaimer
AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. Treat responses as study guidance, verify important work, and use the reasoning to improve your understanding.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The software is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every study situation.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyLayer and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the software.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the software ends immediately.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the software after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
